To all the father’s out there, I want to wish you a very happy belated Father’s Day. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to get this written up on the day, but yesterday was devoted to my own husband and father.
Here is a poem that I found that I felt was very fitting for the amazing roll that father’s fill in their children’s lives.
My Hero
My hero is the quiet type,
No marching bands, no media hype,
But through my eyes it’s plain to see,
A hero, God has sent to me.
With gentle strength and quiet pride,
All self-concern is set aside,
To reach out to his fellow man,
And be there with a helping hand.
Heroes are a rarity,
A blessing to humanity.
With all they give and all they do,
I’ll bet the thing you never knew,
My hero has always been you.

It isn’t easy to be a father, to carry the weight of a family on strong shoulders. To give up time, effort and money for the sake of those they love, but father’s are crucial to our lives.
I want to thank you, father’s, for striving to always be the men your children and family needs.
