Book Tour 2013

For those of you who have not made it over to Facebook yet to follow me (what are you waiting for?) I wanted to let you know that I am tentatively setting up some dates for a book tour in 2013.

Yeah, you heard that right.  Not a BLOG tour but a BOOK tour.  I, along with some of your favorite indie authors, will be scouring the country in search of new readers and to chat with the faithful few 🙂

I have a major tour written down on paper at the moment and I must say it feels daunting but I can just feel the excitement mounting!  This is gonna be a lot of fun!

As soon as I book the event, I will give you exact dates and locations.

My main focus with this tour is mostly the Midwest.  With this being my son’s first year of school I don’t want to be too far away.

These are the potential states that I am considering:

  • Missouri
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Ohio
  • Alabama
  • Tennessee
  • Wisconsin
  • Arizona
  • Texas

All of this is subject to change once my husband returns for his trip.  No doubt he will think I am insane to try something this huge…but I like crazy!  And I am so excited to be able to meet some of you in person 🙂

Just as an FYI: my goal is to have paperback versions of Forbidden, Reckoning, Redemption and the first book of my new trilogy, Defiance Rising available for the February, March and June dates.  By June I plan to have released Relinquish, the second book to pair with Defiance Rising.

  1. Amy,
I have read solo many books in your genre. Your writing is fabulous! I noticed your having some editing issues. For the record…anyone who does’nt know, its Never a reflexion on the author if there’s mistakes in the editing of the book! I really get upset at people who think they know it all, and make snooty comment to the authors and give worse reviews to the book because of something the author has little control over. If this has been addressed before now I apologize as this is my first time on your blog. Keep up the great work.! Sincerely,

    1. Hi Kristen,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is frustrating to have a book solely judged by grammar mistakes and whatnot but I understand this is something that many people really focus on. For me, I notice mistakes but it is the plot that draws me in. Probably why I don’t mind reading so many indie writers 🙂 I know the mistakes are never done on purpose.

Forbidden is currently being re-edited at the moment and I am working on the first round of corrections right now. I want it to be the best product I am make it 🙂

  2. I adore Indie writers, and love supporting new authors and cheering them on as they become household names! Maybe there’s a place for me in the book world yet! Ive always loved editing, reading, and writing. Let me know if u ever need anything!

    1. Hi Kristen,

If there is one thing I have learned throughout my journey of becoming an author, it is that you have to do what you love. No matter how many time people tell you no, you gotta do it, for you.

Writing is my passion and I love every moment of it. If you think the book world is the place for you then go for it! As long as you are doing what you love it will never feel like work 🙂
