Dream Big

On June 1st, I uploaded my new book cover for FORBIDDEN.  Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who liked the new look.  My sales started creeping higher throughout the day.  Day 2, same result.  Day 3…do you see where I am going with this?

On June 3rd I told my husband I had this crazy idea.  I was gonna dream big. I mean HUGE big.

I announced that for the month of June I wanted to attempt to double my previous months sales.  (This felt like a ludicrous goal, but I was determined to see it through.)

It took about a week before I started noticing the real increase.  My book began to hang out around the 15-17,000 range on Amazon.  Out of a million + books, I was thrilled with that.  But it didn’t stop there.

Soon I began dipping into the 12,000-14,000 and was remaining consistent.

Now here is where the fun really began.  I began surpassing my daily goals.  Some days it was only by 5, others as much as 20 or more.  I began obsessively checking my numbers, figuring out my rankings.

And then it happened.  I hit a top 100 list.  And I began to pick up speed.  Then a second top 100 list and the snowball started gaining.

I blew past my HUGE goal with barely a glance back.  And it just kept going.  I couldn’t believe it.  So about a week ago I set another INSANE goal:  to double my double.  Could I really quadruple my previous month’s sales?

Surely that was beyond my reach.  But I decided to dream big again.

And guess what?  I came in at 107 book sales OVER that second goal!!!

How is this possible?

YOU!  Each and everyone of you who have taken a chance on FORBIDDEN and shared the news with your friends and families.  I am truly blessed!

Through your amazing support, I have been contacted by so many new people, dare I say fans, who have helped to make my life a little brighter.  Other authors have contacted me and we have begun networking, sharing the news of our books.  The online writing/reading community is truly awesome.

If you don’t dream big for yourself, who will?

The sky is the limit!
