Since beginning on my journey as a self-published author I have found some things that work really well for me and other’s that totally crash and burn.  One of those is setting crazy deadlines to make my fans happy.  Don’t get me wrong, I love you guys, but sometimes I try to pull off a miracle for ya 🙂

I’ve had a lot of people asking me when REDEMPTION is coming out and I’ll give you the honest truth: I have no clue!

Having a goal deadline in mind is great but not living up to it has created a lot more stress on my family than I want.

So I’m slowing down a bit and spending some time with my two fav guys.  Due to our vacation, two model issues for the cover of DEFIANCE RISING, Thanksgiving holiday and three weeks of illness it’s safe to say I am behind.

I know that I could kill myself to push through and get DEFIANCE RISING out in mid-December for you guys but would it be my best work?  That’s the question that has me delaying.

My books are like a child.  I want it to succeed.  I want it to entertain and delight you.  I want you to feel like you got your money’s worth and I fear rushing through won’t do justice to my beloved characters or to you.  You are the reason why I’m doing this in the first place, after all 🙂

So, I’m not setting any definite release date for DEFIANCE RISING or REDEMPTION.  I know, I’m sighing too, trust me!  BUT I can tell that you that my dear editor is terribly ill at the moment too so I don’t want her to feel pressured to push herself to work while she is ill.  It’s not just me and my family that I have to consider in this.

For now, I will say that I’m working full time on DEFIANCE RISING and I’m still jotting down notes for REDEMPTION and working on refining the chapter’s that I’ve already written.

When I feel that I’m 2-4 weeks from the official release date of each book I will make sure you hear all about it 🙂
