Do you ever have those days when you are just bursting with ideas, but you don’t have the time to tap them out on your laptop?  Or even put pen to paper.  Today is one of those days.  From 8:30am till around 9pm tonight I am going to be jammed pack with “stuff.”  The joys of being a mother and wife!  Too bad the third role, writer, has to squeeze in there where it can.

Knowing my hectic schedule, and lack of writing time yesterday, I determined that I would stay up late last night to write.  Good choice on my part?  Eh…depends on which view point you look from.

3422 words completed at 12:32am.  Not too shabby.  Of course, I can barely keep my eyes open this morning!

Sometimes, as a writer, you just have to sacrifice a little sleep to reach your goals.

My goal for this week: work on Arotas, the sequel to Forbidden.  People keep asking me when it will be done.  I wish I had a specific date that I could share with them. It’s great to be wanted…but I want to make sure Arotas is the best book that I can put forth.

So how about you?  Do you rush to make a self-imposed deadline (guilty as charged!) or do you take your time and do it right, no matter how long it takes?
